Thank You Mum..
Everyone loved my Mum, and she loved everyone, she NEVER judged a book by it’s cover, and luckily for me and my 2 brothers she was very easy going.
There were mornings that my parents would be sat at the breakfast table and over a 30 min. period, about 6 complete strange looking strangers would join them.
They had learnt that if they were all in black with big hair, they were my friends. if they had bright colors in their hair and a safety pin in their cheek they had stayed with Andrew, my brother.. One thing was certain.. they were ALL welcomed, fed and treated like family.
Today my mother is still in touch with far more people from my and my brothers past than the 2 of us combined.
She never doubted or questioned our choices and friends throughout life.
My Mum LOVED the music I used to listen to, and even today when she hears a song from my New Wave Days she jumps up, pumps up the volume and dances
So Mum, this post is for you.. DANCE.. DANCE.. DANCE
When the world took me down
You lifted me high
When the world showed me a ditch
You showed me the sky
When the world told me I was wrong
You said that I was right
When the world laughed at me
You understood my plight
When the world left me on my own
You made sure you were by my side
Thanks, for always being there
Mum, you are my happiness and pride
